Your answer = 20.
Sense the bigger angle would be 70 times bigger, and there sum would be 90, 20 + 7 would be 7 times bigger which would be 20 + 70 = 90°
.

Find measure of 2 complementary angles if one angle is 17 times the other angle.
Let us translate the sentence into mathematics
Let x represent the unknown angle
17 times the unknown is 17x
17x + x = 90
18x = 90
[tex] \frac{18x}{18} = \frac{90}{18} [/tex]
x = 5
The smaller angle measure 5
