y = 3x-1
-2x+(3x-1) = 2
x-1=2
x=3
y=3(3)-1
y=8

  -2 x + y = 2

   x  = 1 + 2

   x = 3

For y:

3 x - y = 1

3 * 3 - y = 1

9 - y = 1

y =  9 - 1

y = 8
