Divide 3 2/3 by 2/3. There are a few ways to do this but I am going to turn 3 2/3 into an improper fraction and then divide.

So [tex]3\frac{2}{3} = \frac{11}{3}[/tex]
Now divide
[tex]\frac{\frac{11}{3}}{\frac{2}{3}}[/tex]
[tex]\frac{11}{3} \times \frac{3}{2} = \frac{11}{2} = 5\frac{1}{2} = 5.5[/tex]

We can see she can get 5.5 pieces at 2/3. So .5 is going to be left over so we ask our self, what is .5 of 3 2/3? We times .5 by 3 2/3 = 1.83 yards left. If you want it into a fraction, it would be [tex]1\frac{83}{100} [/tex] yards left
