96 can be broken down in 6 x 16. 16 is a perfect square, 4 being its square root. Therefore, 4 [tex] \sqrt{6}[/tex] = r. This can be broken down further into the pure square root of 96, about 9.8. r = 4[tex] \sqrt{6} [/tex] , or about 9.8.
