What is the area of a triangle with the base of 4 7/8 and the height of 8?

the formula for area of a triangle is A = (1/2)*b*h

in your case: b = 4*7/8 and h = 8

A = 1/2*(4*7/8)*(8) = 14

A = (1/2) * 8 * 4 7/8
A = 4 * 4 7/8
