Area of a triangle:
A = a * h / 2
where a is the base and h is the height.
For a new triangle:
A ( new ) = 3 a * 3 h / 2 = 9 * a * h / 2 = 9 A
A ( new ) = 9 * 30 = 270 cm²
Answer: The area of resulting triangle is 270 cm² .
