When you multiply a fraction by a whole number, you leave the bottom (denominator) alone and just multiply the top (numerator)
[tex]\frac{3}{7}*4 = \frac{3*4}{7}=\frac{12}{7}[/tex]

all what you have to do is change the 4 into a fraction like 4/1 and then you just time it across which the answer will be 12/7 and then you will simplify it if you can which your final answer will be 1 and 5/7
