Solution:

Velocity is displacement divided by time.

  Velocity  = [tex]\frac{displacement}{time}[/tex]

      Displacement  = velocity x time

Input the parameters:

              8  = 3.8  x time

 Time  = [tex]\frac{8}{3.8}[/tex]   = 2.1s
