When the Ottoman Empire had captured the Holy Land, it was Pope Urban II who had launched the first Crusade. The Crusade was launched when many Christians were no longer allowed to visit the Holy City of Jerusalem, because of this, Pope Urban had called many Christian to fight against the Muslims.
