Geometric mean:
1/3 and 5/27

To get the geometric mean:

1) We need to multiply the 2 terms
1/3 * 5/27 = 1*5 / 3*27 = 5/81

2) Because there are only 2 terms involved, we need to get the square root of the product. If 3 terms are involved, we get the cube root and so on.

√5/81 ⇒ √5 ÷ √81 ⇒ √5 / 9
