What would happen if mitosis occured, but cytokinesis did not?

If the cell underwent mitosis without cytokinesis, the cell would have a double set of chromosomes in it because it wouldn't have split and given the copy to the new cell.

Since cytokineses is when the membrane draws inwards to divide the cell into two daughter cells, if cytokinesis did not occur, you'd have a cell with two nuclei. it's called a coenocyte.
