Multiply each side of the equation by  4/3 .

First you multiply both sides of equation by 4 so you get:

[tex] \frac{3}{4} *x*4=8*4[/tex]
[tex]3x=32[/tex]

next you devide both by 3
[tex] \frac{3}{3}*x=\frac{32}{3}[/tex]

which gives you:
[tex]x=\frac{32}{3}=10\frac{2}{3}[/tex]
